DHCA QUARTERLY MEETING
Dominion Hills Civic Association Quarterly Meeting
Thursday, 4 September 2003 at 7:30PM
DHARA Community House, 6000 Wilson Blvd.
Members of the community have been hard at work over the past year drafting our Neighborhood Conservation Plan. Check out the Dominion Hills web page www.dominionhills.net
(click here) to see a copy of the recent draft up for discussion. Example chapters: Neighborhood History, Land Use, Traffic Management, Parks, and more. If you do not have access to the web & would like a hard copy of the draft, please contact Eric Sildon at 703-536-4646.
At this DHCA meeting, Dominion Hills residents will have the opportunity to discuss the draft & provide comments & feedback.
Once we have a plan, we will be eligible to receive county funding for valuable enhancements such as beautification, lighting, signage, & traffic calming measures. The Neighborhood Conservation committee hopes to finalize the document by the end of the year. The final plan will be printed by Arlington County, & copies made available to all Dominion Hills residents.
MACE PARK IMPROVEMENTS
A special thanks to Dominion Hills neighbor Mark Barolo and the few neighbors who provided hard labor to spread mulch & weed Mace Park in June. New play equipment, benches & a picnic table have been installed in Mace Park thanks to the Arlington County Small Parks grant. Please remember to keep dogs out of the mulched play area.

WHAT DO YOU WANT WILSON BOULEVARD TO LOOK LIKE?
Arterial Transportation Management Visioning Meeting
Tuesday, 7 October 2003
7:00PM
Ashlawn Elementary School
Arlington County has contracted a nationally-recognized transportation planning & engineering consulting company to examine future travel levels, develop a new street classification system, and to develop strategies & measures for managing transportation along arterial roads. The measures & strategies for selected streets will be developed through a community participation process. Arlington County goals for this planning process include: embracing traffic safety, pedestrian & transit access & bicycle issues.
You are invited to attend the October 7th meeting to provide your vision for Wilson Boulevard (from the County line to Glebe Road) -- one of the three streets selected for this county effort. Members of the Bluemont Civic Association, for example, have expressed interest in changing Wilson Boulevard to a three-lane road (similar to Washington Boulevard -- with two lanes dedicated to traffic flow & one lane designed for turning).
